Swimming Champions Topped Speedo Nationals 2010

The Speedo National Short Course Swimming Championships was the venue for future swimming champions who showed their best in this three-day meet at the Philippine Center for Aquatic Excellence in Trace Aquatic Complex, Los Baños, Laguna last November 26 to 28, 2010. The event showcased more than 450 swimmers from the different regions of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao as they performed their optimum in the sport. Familiar faces at the podium are Quezon City’s bet Anna Celina Gonzales, Anthony Navarro from Cebu, and Jethro Chua of Cagayan de Oro, who all won the Outstanding Swimmer award in their respective age categories. Luzon teams dominated the event and won the top titles with Ayala Harpoons Swim Club on the first spot garnering a total of 579 points, followed by Lake City Swim Club with only 1 point less than the Harpoons at 578 points. PCA Stingrays Swim Club finished at third place with 432.50 points. National team swimmers Jasmine Alkhaldi, Banjo Borja, Jessie Lacuna and Joboy Gonzales also swam their respective events of expertise and won the top spot. This national short course swimming championships was supported by Speedo Philippines in partnership with the Philippine Aquatic Sports Association.

The PCA Stingrays dominates the girl’s swim event. Jasmine Alkhaldi tops the 400M Freestyle.
