Speedo Spotlight: A Record-breaking Superstar Joins #TeamSpeedo

The home of the superstars, for years Speedo has been nurturing and supporting esteemed swimmers, helping them to flourish into the best of the best. This year, we welcome new addition to our growing family. Another prominent has joined the #TeamSpeedo and is here to win and inspire others to be the very best version of themselves.

Last August of 2022, Speedo welcomed another superstar on their team, Chloe Isleta. The 24-year-old Filipina is one of the booming names in the swimming industry today. She is well known as the record-breaking swimmer who ended the 29-year swimming gold medal drought of the Philippines last May 2022 at the 31st Southeast Asian Games. It was almost three decades since the last time the Philippines won a gold medal in the women’s 200m backstrokes, and Chloe is one of the three swimmers who have won a gold medal in that category.

Aside from her record-breaking performance at the last SEA Games, Chloe Isleta is also well known to the industry through her outstanding performance in different competitions around the world, like the FINA Swimming Championship in Abu Dhabi UAE, where she set a new record for the Philippines. Isleta has been collecting triumphs ever since she was in college. She ranked #1 and is the current record holder in Arizona State University swimming history.

Her love for swimming does not end with her competing; Chloe has also helped train aspiring swimmers. In 2018, she coached a group of athletes and helped them get better with their swimming techniques. Alongside her swimming victories, Chloe Isleta also thrives in her academics. She graduated a Cum Laude with a 3.42 GPA and is now studying for her master’s degree at De La Salle University. While she studies for her master’s, Isleta is also a member of the DLSU Lady Tankers, where she will be competing against different universities.

Chloe Isleta is truly an inspiration to a lot of young and aspiring swimmers. Her dedication to her craft has led her to all her victories. As Chloe embarks on her journey with Speedo, she’ll surely break more barriers. Watch out and get ready, world!
